Strato as a CMS

The most popular CMS systems such as e.g. e.g. WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, phpBB or Typo3 run from the server. This means that the hosting package must support the execution, by the server, of the scripts that make up these applications. To use these applications, a MySQL database is also necessary.

STRATO hosting packages starting from the current Basic Hosting (and the old Medium Hosting or Power Web) support the standard configurations of the following CMS: WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, phpBB and from the old AdvancedWeb or Advanced Hosting (and the Current Basic) also Typo3.

Basically all CMS systems on the market must work with the STRATO platform. The applications listed above have been tested and guaranteed to work by STRATO.

We will not be able to perform a migration of the data stored in your current CMS, we recommend that you consult the instructions of the application you are using to find out the necessary steps you must carry out to perform a migration.

Many CMS have very easy backup capabilities. This way you can restore the contents of your application once you have installed it again on the STRATO server.

Also find out if you need to make backup copies of your MySQL database.

Additionally, STRATO now offers the WordPress & Co. application installation service with just a few clicks, where you have a multitude of applications at your disposal that you can install easily.
