How this plugin works:
The idea is to connect your data from your WhatsApp widget to WordPress.
The Tochat.be WordPress Plugin (also referred to in context as the plugin for ToChat.be WhatsApp Widget) is a free tool that integrates your Tochat.be WhatsApp widget with WordPress. It serves two main purposes:
- Installs and manages the WhatsApp chat widget on your WordPress site (floating button/widget for visitors to message you via WhatsApp).
- Pulls analytics and data from your Tochat.be account directly into the WordPress dashboard, so you (or your clients/agency) can view widget performance, leads, activity, etc., without logging into the separate Chatwith account.
This creates a more unified experience: website stats + WhatsApp widget stats in one place (e.g., alongside Google Analytics via Site Kit or Jetpack). Note: The plugin is not in the official WordPress.org repository (it’s distributed via direct download from the ToChat blog). It’s lightweight and secure, using API connections for data sync.Key Features (Based on the Update).
- Displays widget activity, leads, referrals, clicks, and other metrics inside WordPress.
- Includes a dedicated dashboard module you can add to your WP admin (e.g., drag into main dashboard).
- Provides quick links to full stats and leads in Tochat.be.
- Allows disconnecting the account anytime.
- Future updates planned: more data like bookings, detailed leads, etc.
- Widget installation is simple via a unique key (no manual code pasting needed).
