This guide shows you how to add Tochat.be widget to a Squarespace site. The process is simple and takes only a few steps.

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Log in to your Squarespace account and open the website you want to edit.
  2. Go to Websites → Pages (the basic site structure area).
  3. Scroll down and select Custom Code → Code Injection.
  4. In the Header section, paste the Chatwith widget code.
    (You can find and copy this code from your Chatwith dashboard when you create or install the widget.)
  5. Save the changes.

That’s it — the widget is now installed. You can preview the site to confirm it appears correctly.

What You Can Do with the WidgetOnce installed, the Chatwith widget lets you:

  • Capture basic lead information (name, phone number, etc.).
  • Ask qualifying questions (for example, for a plumber: “What do you need? Change pipes, review the heater, replace the toilet…?”).
  • Generate leads that appear in your Chatwith control panel.

On the public website, visitors will only see the basic fields you choose (e.g., name + phone number). After the conversation or phone call, you can update the full details (service type, technician, hours, budget) yourself in the dashboard.
