When you are using WhatsApp for your resignation message, there are some things you need to remember. One thing you need to keep in mind, is that WhatsApp is a less formal way of communication, so if your employer is doing things in a professional and formal way, WhatsApp might not be the best way to resign.

If you on the other hand have a more casual way of communicating, and are using WhatsApp frequently at your company, this might be a better solution. 👍

Always be respectful

No matter if you enjoyed your time at the company you are resigning from, or you can’t get away from there fast enough, you should never lose your head, and always remember to be respectful.

With WhatsApp, your messages get to the recipient fast and easy, which gives your boss the chance to react right away if necessary, or at least gives him/her a chance to act on it in time.

So when you are sending the message, remember to be respectful, tell them in time, so they have some time to react and perhaps find a proper replacement, and be honest with them.

This is important, because who knows, maybe you are going to need their help in the future, or you might be able to utilize something you learned or the contacts you made during your time at the company! 🤔
