- Press the search icon which is at the top of the app
- Search whatever word or phrase you want to find.
- You can only search for content from the conversations. A feature WhatsApp does not have is the ability to search in your contact profile.
- You can search group names.
- If documents are shared in a conversation, you can also look for them on the search. For example if you share a document called “Business Proposal” on the search, you will be able to locate the conversation where you shared that document.
- Photos and videos cannot be searched unless they go along with a message.
- When you search contacts that you have archived, they will still appear on the search results with the label archive.
